California Greenhouse

The greenhouse: external overview

The greenhouse is divided into three functional areas, each with adjustable lighting thanks to Hemera Pro software and 4-channel Usil 300 lamps, manufactured in Italy by Hangar Lab. Each section uses a customized light spectrum based on the needs of the crops present.

Area NFT

In this area, the NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) is used to grow primarily baby leaf crops. The seedlings are placed in channels where nutrient solutions flow continuously, with a water recirculation system.

Solanacee Area

Designed for growing tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, and similar vegetables, this area uses a highly water-efficient hydroponic system. The lights can be configured for each row, allowing for precise control of the spectrum for each crop.

Experimental Area

Here, strawberries and berries are grown on hydroponic channels, alongside germination tables and mixed crops. The lighting is more intense and varied, with different white spectrums to support the different growth stages.
